Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he was a part of Ozuna to record their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia came out as his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. Following that calendar year Dopamina became his second album. The year 2021 was the first time he was in a duo with TINI to perform her streaming track Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo came from a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are both musicians. According to him, musicality was an integral element of his existence. He began playing the saxophone, guitar, Ukulele, and piano while a young child. Despite initially wanting to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his profession.
