Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of classical music, as well old Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos and operas. In addition, she is a fan of performing in dramatic shows. She began singing and learning musical instruments with her mother then began more intense training in singing when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The singer continued her education in the field of music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. In the years following her relocation to California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for arts, music and performing keep her engaged in a myriad of local activities as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching of The Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity be able to share her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to help keep the tradition living.
